Abstract

The present text brings into discussion a book review of “No Party School: syndrome of an authoritarian education”, which proposes a rich debate on the educational policies and the construction of an authoritarian discourse in the Brazilian classroom that has reverberated in pedagogical practices of teachers of the public system since the creation of the project by the organized civil society in 2004 and had great evidence in 2018, resulting in the projection of schools as spaces of self-surveillance.
