TRADUÇÃO E ADAPTAÇÃO DO INVENTÁRIO DE DEPRESSÃO DE BECK PARA A POPULAÇÃO SURDA

Resumo
A depressão afeta a capacidade funcional do indivíduo, podendo ser ampliada na presença de quem convive com uma condição crônica como é o caso da deficiência auditiva. Na prática psicológica, o acolhimento do deficiente auditivo torna-se limitado por não dispor de profissionais e instrumentos capacitados para essa população. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi traduzir, adaptar e validar a Escala de Depressão de Beck (BDI) para a Língua Brasileira de Sinais. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, transversal com adaptação realizada em cinco etapas: (1) tradução semântica; (2) tradução para glosa; (3) revisão técnica e avaliação da equivalência semântica; (4) retrotradução; e (5) estudo piloto. O estudo contou com 181 participantes com idade variando de 18 a 72 anos (M = 34,46; DP = 12,3), 50 pessoas com surdez e 131 ouvintes. Os dados foram analisados através dos softwares SPSS STATISTICS e Factor. A versão adaptada do BDI apontou uma estrutura unidimensional [UniCo = 0,98 (IC95% = 0,99 - 0,99) e MIREAL = 0,19 (IC95% = 0,15 - 0,20)] evidenciando boa consistência interna e confiabilidade (α = 0,93 e ω = 0,97) na amostra de adultos surdos. Conclui-se que o BDI indica evidências da adequação para a população surda, podendo auxiliar pesquisadores e clínicos na compreensão dos fenômenos psicológicos relacionados à população surda e ouvinte. Ademais, aponta-se para a necessidade de estudos futuros em populações surdas de diferentes regiões do Brasil.
