UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA SOBRE O TRATAMENTO COM SUPRESSORES HORMONAIS EM CRIANÇAS E ADOLESCENTES INCONGRUENTES DE GÊNERO

Resumo
Objetivo: debater os impactos que as atuais evidências podem ter o uso de bloqueadores hormonais em menores de idade com diagnóstico de Incongruência de Gênero. Fonte dos dados: realizou-se uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre “Disforia de Gênero” entre 1961 a 2013, composta por 11 periódicos retirados do repositório digital PubMed, duas fontes literárias e uma dissertação. O método de análise adotado foi o hipotético-dedutivo e a revisão sistemática teve como base a meta-análise. Síntese dos dados: constatou-se a partir de uma amostragem de 511 crianças e adolescentes, durante 52 anos, apenas 98 (19%) persistiram com sintomas disfóricos na fase adulta sem a administração de inibidores hormonais, enquanto os que tiveram como base a terapia hormonal tiveram uma taxa de 100% de persistência. Discussão: a administração de inibidores hormonais por GNHRa, teoricamente, podem induzir a persistência da incongruência de gênero e seus efeitos a longo prazo são desconhecidos pela ciência, uma vez que não há consenso científico sobre o produto em crianças e adolescentes.
