REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA SOBRE CRENÇAS E ESTEREÓTIPOS RELACIONADOS AO PRECONCEITO CONTRA PESSOAS GORDAS

Resumo
O presente artigo tem como objetivo identificar as crenças e estereótipos relacionados ao preconceito contra pessoas gordas por meio de revisão sistemática da literatura. As palavras-chave utilizadas foram “preconceito”, “gordo”, “gorda”, “excesso de peso”, “acima do peso”, “sobrepeso”, “obesidade”, “obeso”, bem como: “prejudice”, “fat”, “overweight”, “obesity” e “obese”. Foram incluídos na amostra 6 artigos. A análise permitiu verificar quais crenças e estereótipos se correlacionaram ao preconceito contra pessoas gordas apesar dos resultados indicarem uma lacuna de estudos que se debrucem sobre as correlações entre o preconceito contra pessoas gordas, crenças e estereótipos. Concluímos que a análise dessas crenças em conjunto pode contribuir para uma explicação mais aprofundada do preconceito contra este grupo.
