ELON MUSK, JAMES BOND AND THE GEOPOLITICS OF BIG TECH

Abstract
This essay analyzes Elon Musk as the embodiment of the geopolitical power of Big Tech, arguing that his actions transcend those of a mere businessman and liken him to a fictional "supervillain". The work deconstructs the myth of the "self-made genius," revealing how his empire (Tesla, SpaceX, X) was built with massive state support. It examines his far-right ideology, his role during the Trump administration, and his double standard in defending a "freedom of speech" that serves his own interests. The core of the essay establishes a unique parallel between his domination projects (orbital control with Starlink, the colonization of Mars, the acquisition of information platforms) and the global domination plans of classic James Bond villains. The methodology consisted of a literature review, drawing on relevant and reliable journalistic sources, as well as works providing the appropriate conceptual references for the topic. Analytically, we employ historical-dialectical materialism, based on the assessment that reality must be understood through the productive forces that constitute it and the contradictions that drive history. It is concluded that Musk operates as a techno-feudal lord, whose unregulated power represents a tangible threat to democracy and the sovereignty of nation-states, materializing the dystopias of surveillance capitalism in reality.
