MATHEMATICS AND ART: INTERDISCIPLINARY WORKSHOPS

Abstract

This paper presents a research conducted with students of the seventh year of primary schools in a State College in the city of Catalão-GO, in order to reflect on the possibility of interdisciplinarity between Mathematics and Art, highlighting the relationships in double track existing between them. The research has a qualitative approach, from questionnaires applied to students, observations of the activities developed during the workshops, seeking to highlight the intimate and critical relationship between Mathematics and Art. The option for Art in an interdisciplinary relationship with Mathematics is because it has as its object the very relationship of sensitivity, capable of producing sensitive knowledge, a knowledge of a different nature than that produced by scientificity/rationality.
