PSYCHOMETRIC VALIDATION OF THE SCALE FOR ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF SCHOOL WORK LIFE - QWSL

Abstract
The Quality of Work Life (QWL) seeks to understand how to maximize actions aimed at workplace productivity, considering both objective and subjective aspects, and simultaneously impact on the perception of quality of life and worker performance. The importance of valid and reliable instruments for QWL diagnosis is evident in order to subsidize managers in choosing predictive actions and/or programs. This study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the scale to evaluate the Quality of School Work Life at (QSWL). Methodological study of deductive reasoning and quantitative approach was conducted, with a sample composed of 172 participants, extracted from the population of teachers from municipal public schools, from the state of Rondônia (Brazil). The method of multivariate statistical analysis was applied, combining exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis techniques, which showed a factorial structure composed of 6 latent variables. The set of tests and evidence produced in the investigation, in line with the methodological and theoretical references confirmed that the factorial structure is valid and reliable, to measure the Quality of School Work Life, allowing its use for the reality of brazilian teachers.
