Resumo

Neste ensaio é apresentada uma discussão reflexiva acerca do papel das tecnologias de informação atuais, representadas pelos aplicativos WhatsApp e Uber, a partir das principais considerações dos mais influentes pensadores da área de Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade. Busca-se estabelecer um diálogo entre essas tecnologias e aquilo que define o determinismo tecnológico e o determinismo social.
