Abstract
In March 2022, Turkmenistan elected its third president since its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. The new president of the country is Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the eldest son of the now former president, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Simian political movements have been seen before and/or are being carried out for something similar to occur in other countries in the region. In this essay, we seek to reflect briefly on how a kind of political dynasty (or attempt) is being established in the countries of Central Asia since they were forced to build their economic and political base after the Cold War.
