Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the scientific production on the psychosocial aspects that permeate pregnancy in women with type 1 diabetes, reflecting on the feelings and experiences lived during this period, based on an integrative literature review. The data was searched in July and August 2024, using Pubmed, Scielo and the Virtual Health Library Portal. The descriptors type 1 diabetes, pregnancy, qualitative study, experiences, type 1 diabetes, pregnancy, qualitative research and psychosocial aspects were used in pairs. The search covered the selection of articles without time limits, due to the relative scarcity of specific data on the subject, observing established inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of 144 articles were analyzed and 14 were selected for the final sample, after careful and reflective reading of the main elements and information in the studies. The IRaMuTeq software supported the data analysis using descending hierarchical classification and similarity analysis. The results show that pregnant women with type 1 diabetes face various challenges and may have negative feelings about pregnancy, requiring social support and comprehensive, person-centered, multidisciplinary care that pays attention to psychosocial aspects.
