Abstract

This essay discusses Brazil's international isolation which has more to do with the content of its foreign policy, determined by the president and few advisers, than with the performance of diplomacy whose professional body was constrained during the entire term of the first chancellor of the Bolsonaro Administration. In fact, the Bolsonaro Administration has isolated itself in the international scenario, defining priority, ideological relations with a limited number of interlocutors, who were gradually losing power (Mateo Salvini in Italy, Donald Trump in the US, and Benjamin Netanyahou in Israel). The Brazil of Bolsonaro has been isolated in the South American continent.
