“MINHAS ALUNAS SÃO TÍMIDAS, E AGORA?” O SLI.DO MEDIANDO O ENGAJAMENTO EDUCACIONAL NA PANDEMIA

Abstract

This study approaches the potential of the app Sli.do as a didactic resource to mediate educational engagement in remote classes during the new coronavirus pandemic. The objective was to analyze the strategic use and contributions of the mentioned app in engaging students through the educational process. The bibliographic research was used as methodology, aiming at describing the interferences of shyness in education, and reporting the experience and perceptions of students of a Psychopedagogy graduate course in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil about the use of the Sli.do app as a resource against shyness during remote classes. In that context, Sli.do was tested as a tool to overcome the shyness of students in remote classes. Major results point to the fact the app promotes students’ engagement in the remote environment. The ‘anonymous’ character of Sli.do was identified as one of the factors enhancing students’ participation, as such, it can be used for formal assessment of learning.
