ISRAEL AND THE INDISCRIMINATE USE OF FORCE

Abstract
This paper is interested in the recent confrontation between Israel and the Palestinians, which took place in May 2021, as a result of the history of conflicts that has plagued the region for decades. From a brief historical review of some influential factors, we point to the excessive use of force by Israel as a means of maintaining its state, while preventing the organization of another state by the Palestinians and acting in the region in order to prevent its neighbors from being able to have military capabilities equivalent to theirs. The way in which Israel acts, in disregard of UN determinations and oblivious to the effects on the Palestinian people are also questioned in this essay
