PREVENÇÃO MEDIANTE A ATUAÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO: ESTUDO DE CASO DO CURATIVO DO PÉ DIABÉTICO

Abstract
This article is the result of a research about diabetes mellitus, which exposes some preventive alternatives to be adopted by the nursing professional in the treatment of diabetic foot patients, a profile that accompanies several patients, especially the elderly. The research aims to understand how the nursing professional can act preventively in cases of patients with diabetic foot. This study is the result of a descriptive and explanatory research, triggered by the combination of bibliographic review and documentary review, whose data were analyzed using methods of hermeneutic analysis and comparative analysis, which endorsed the need for specific care regarding prevention, treatment and recovery of foot injuries in patients with hyperglycemia.
