Abstract

In the growing literature on Innovation Ecosystems (IE), much remains to be explored to understand how the interaction between different actors within these arrangements’ works. This article aims to propose analytical guidelines for understanding the relationships among IE actors, structured into an analytical framework designed to serve as a foundation for future research and practical applications. To achieve this, the study employs a method that combines a systematic literature review and Design Science Research, aiming to propose a theoretical framework—a visual tool that helps locate and logically structure the main concepts of a study, demonstrating their interrelationships and providing an explanation of the research object. The result is the proposal of a comprehensive framework based on four categories (Culture, Context, Markets, and Institutions), contributing to the assessment of the maturity stage of relationships in IE and the development of organizational strategies and public policies that foster more innovative, cohesive, and dynamic environments.
