Abstract

This article, entitled "Public Value in the Context of New Public Governance: Mapping of Literature and Bibliometric Analysis", proposes an investigation into the advances of the concept of public governance in light of the emerging paradigm of public value. Carried out by means of a descriptive-exploratory approach with a quantitative approach, the study seeks to identify connections between public governance, public value and organizational culture in scientific articles available in the databases Scopus, Web of Science and Science, in the period from 2017 to 2021, The data will be collected in May 2022. The relevance of this topic is highlighted, considering its constant evolution in the area of public administration. The research protocol was developed in StArt, and two data were analyzed together with the support of the Bibliometrix in the R-Studio environment. The results reveal a continuous search to identify gaps in public contexts, emphasizing the creation of public value as a crucial metric to evaluate the performance of public managers. A discussion around public value is consolidated as an essential element in understanding and measuring the success of public management strategies, highlighting the importance of directing efforts for a more efficient and results-oriented administration.
