Abstract

This article aims to identify and analyze the practices developed by lawyers in the municipality of Vilhena, state of Rondônia, regarding the application of non-pecuniary means of repairing moral damages. As research findings, it was observed that lawyers from Vilhena have applied alternative measures to repair moral damages, in general, in an unsatisfactory way. The outputs showed that pecuniary compensation has prevailed over the other possibilities. Its findings, although they cannot be generalized to the context of inductive reasoning, provided the opportunity for theoretical generalizations, regarding the confrontation of the reality described in Vilhena's law practice and the theoretical framework that surrounds the theme.

Graduated in Law from the Centro Universitário "Antônio Eufrásio de Toledo" in Presidente Prudente and in Philosophy from the Universidade do Oeste Paulista - UNOESTE. Associated with the National Council for Research and Graduate Studies in Law (CONPEDI). He was coordinator of the Law course at Faculdade UNINASSAU Vilhena (2020-2023).
