ARTE, PROFISSÃO E TECNOLOGIA: AS GREVES EM HOLLYWOOD EM 2023

Resumo
O texto apresenta resultados de pesquisa sobre as greves ocorridas em Hollywood em 2023, focando nas condições de trabalho e na alta tecnologia (plataformas de streaming e inteligência artificial) nos estúdios de cinema na Califórnia. Tema da maior importância para entendermos a relação, por vezes tensa, entre arte, profissão e tecnologia. A metodologia repousa sobre a análise não só de documentos e dos websites das agremiações grevistas, mas também da cobertura jornalística deste fenômeno. A interpretação combina autores de diferentes áreas do conhecimento que investigam a intersecção entre produção cultural e tecnologia. Provisoriamente, a análise aponta para a precarização laboral, exemplificada pelos defasados salários, condições de trabalho degradantes, incerta remuneração financeira advinda dos serviços de streaming, prazos curtos para o desenvolvimento das tarefas e estrutura de trabalho deficitária. Percebe-se também o aprofundamento do uso da inteligência artificial e certa insegurança profissional representada pelo desenvolvimento de textos maquínicos e das réplicas digitais ameaçando ambas as categorias. Aduz ainda a importância da luta coletiva como possibilidade de reverter o uso desmedido dessa tecnologia, chamando a atenção para redefinições trazidas por ela no mundo do trabalho em geral.
